Residents
Plan availability: Residents is available on every plan but is opt-in. Flip Track Residents on in Settings → Features to enable. Existing records are preserved when toggled off.
A Resident is anyone living in the community without legal ownership — typically renters or family members of an owner. Tracking residents is useful when you want to credit volunteer hours and event attendance to non-owner participants.
The Residents data lives alongside Property Owners — flipping the Residents toggle on adds resident-specific create and import flows.
Adding a resident
The New Resident form captures basic identity plus an optional parcel link (e.g., “lives at 123 Main”).

Bulk import
Same wizard pattern as property-owner import: upload a CSV, map the columns, preview, commit.

When to use Residents vs Property Owners
| Use case | Track as |
|---|---|
| Owner of one or more parcels | Property Owner |
| Renter living at a parcel | Resident |
| Adult child living with the owner who logs volunteer hours | Resident |
| Vacant-property contact (out-of-state owner) | Property Owner |
You can also leave both off and capture event attendees and volunteer hours with just a name — the simplest setup for many small communities.
